The following section describes the document types and formats used in the UAE.

Document formats and types

The UAE requires e-invoices to use the PINT AE format. The following formats are used:

• PINT AE Billing for invoices and credit notes.
• PINT AE Self-Billing for self-billed invoices and credit notes.
• UAE Tax Data Document for reporting.

If you use VRBL, VRBL-Invoice-AE-1p0 automatically maps to PINT AE Billing and PINT AE Self-Billing for the UAE. ecosio generates the UAE TDD for every in-scope invoice, regardless of the input format.
