Connect to Romania's platform

To connect ecosio to Romania's RO e-Factura platform, you must first get the necessary credentials from ANAF, the country's tax authority. You can then use the Monitor's secure, guided workflow to submit your credentials, which ecosio uses to establish and maintain the connection with ANAF and to enable the automatic transmission of your electronic documents. This approach provides security by ensuring credentials never leave ecosio. It also offers ease of use by removing the need to handle the credential exchange directly and provides transparency by giving you full control of token creation and renewal.

Prerequisites

Before you set up the protocol connector, you must:

  1. Have a qualified digital certificate from one of the trusted service providers in Romania. This will enable you to access RO e-Factura. For more information, see certSIGN's guide.
  2. Using the certificate, create a profile on ANAF SPV.
  3. Contact your ecosio Integration Engineer to create the connector.
  4. Have permission to view connectors in the Monitor.

Set up the protocol connector

Set up a protocol connector in the Monitor to securely provide ecosio with your ANAF credentials.

Tip

You can use the Management API to set up the connector.

Note

You must perform these steps on the same device where you added the digital certificate, or by using a portable certificate.

  1. In the Monitor, select Connectors.
  2. In the Compliance Connectors section, on the row for Romania, select .
  3. Select Start setup.
  4. Select to copy the callback URL. You'll need this later.
  5. Log in to ANAF SPV.
  6. Select Editare profil Oauth.
  7. Select Meniu > Gestionare aplicații.
  8. For Denumire aplicatie, enter a name for these credentials. For example, ecosio.
  9. For Callback URL 1, enter the callback URL you copied from the Monitor in step 3.
  10. For Serviciu, select E-Factura.
  11. Select Generare Client ID.
  12. Make a note of the client ID and client secret.
  13. In the Monitor, select the I confirm that I have added the Callback URL to the company’s SPV profile checkbox.
  14. Select Continue.
  15. Enter your ANAF client ID and client secret from step 11.
  16. Select Receive Access Tokens.
  17. Select your digital certificate to authenticate with ANAF SPV.
  18. Select Save connector.

To test your new connector, you can send a test e-invoice to ecosio. You should receive a response from ANAF.

Renew an access token

To maintain continuous use of e-invoicing for Romania, you must periodically regenerate your tokens. When you generate your access token in Monitor, you also generate a refresh token. Access tokens for RO e-Factura expire after 90 days but are automatically renewed using your refresh token. Refresh tokens expire after 365 days, so you must regenerate them before expiry.

Warning

  • Waiting for your refresh token to expire can cause unexpected errors. We strongly recommend that you regenerate it before it expires.
  • You must regenerate your tokens in your Monitor’s test environment.

ecosio will send you an email when your token is close to its expiry date. Once you remove the connector from your Monitor's test environment, you can regenerate your access token by following the steps in the Set up the protocol connector guide. After ecosio tests the new token and confirms it is working, it moves to your Monitor’s production environment.
